Timothy Harmon, Chief Executive Officer, Solage Hotels & Resorts. As CEO, Mr. Harmon oversees all aspect of business operations and development for the company including selecting sites and overseeing design of new Solage properties. The Solage brand, developed by the team behind Auberge Resorts, departs from the Auberge model of timeless romantic retreats to offer a contemporary, design-focused culture that is more approachable in style and experience. Mr. Harmon brings a formidable level of hotel and restaurant industry experience and expertise to Solage Hotels & Resorts. Mr. Harmon also serves as CEO Moana Hotel & Restaurant Group, an affiliated company that owns and manages a wide range of restaurants including several branded divisions and a variety of independent ventures. Moana’s flagship businesses include Piatti Ristorante, a collection of 12 casual Italian trattorias; Paragon Restaurant & Bar, four lively American brasserie style restaurants; and several independent properties such as the tropical Plantation Gardens Restaurant & Bar on the Hawaiian island of Kauai; the charming El Dorado Hotel and El Dorado Kitchen in Sonoma; the acclaimed restaurant Redd in the Napa Valley; and Bay 13, a modern seafood restaurant in Portland, Oregon. Prior to founding Moana, Mr. Harmon served as Director of Business Development for Auberge Resorts where he handled acquisitions and development of new Auberge Resorts. Mr. Harmon remains a principal and director of Auberge Resorts. Before starting a career in the hospitality business, Mr. Harmon practiced law for nearly eight years, specializing in real estate and business transactions. Mr. Harmon is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the Hastings College of Law in San Francisco. Arun Paul, Managing Director for Business Development, Solage Hotels & Resorts. As Managing Director for Business Development, Arun Paul is responsible for sourcing and executing on new business opportunities and managing all financing activities. Paul joined Solage from Canyon Equity, a private equity firm focused on the development of small ultra-luxury resorts. At Canyon, Paul spearheaded the firm’s investment efforts, helping structure relationships with Aman Resorts, Auberge Resorts and Passport Resorts (parent company of the Post Ranch Inn), among others. Prior to Canyon Equity, Paul was a member of the real estate investment banking team at Banc of America Securities, advising real estate clients across a wide range of industries. He also served as the Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Finance for Irvine Apartment Communities, a publicly traded multifamily REIT, and as an M&A analyst focused on the Gaming and Lodging industries while at Wasserstein Perella. Paul earned his BA in Economics and his MBA from Stanford University. Richard Hill, General Manager, Solage Calistoga As General Manager of Solage Hotels & Resorts' first resort property, Solage Calistoga, Richard Hill oversees all aspects of the on-going operations of the property. Hill's tenure began a year prior to its opening and he was instrumental in the successful launch of the new resort. Hill joined Solage Calsitoga after working for Auberge Resorts for more than four years including his most recent position as director of hotel operations for Calistoga Ranch. Prior to that, he worked for well-respected luxury resorts including Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa in Monterey, California; Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona; and Green Valley Spa and Tennis Resort in St. George, Utah. Hill received a degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and is an International Spa Association committee member.
